Timelines

On this page you’ll (eventually) find a series of timelines related to various issues in town. Unfortunately, the research, fact and date validation, timeline creation, and website coding of these timelines takes time, and we are all volunteers. Thank you for your patience as we work to bring you as much information we can as quickly as we can!

Admin Note: The timeline(s) presented represent in immense number of volunteer hours of work over a multi-month period. The timelines were compiled from a variety of sources including reputable news organizations, public records, legal case documents, Freedom of Information Act requests from the county and town, and personal interviews with individuals involved.

Where feasible, we have uploaded supporting documents or linked to news articles to support the information within the timeline(s).

COMING SOON: Ben Nett Timeline

A vast majority of the drama that the town has endured since January 2025 can be directly attributed to the influences and actions of suspended Vice Mayor and former Purcellville Police Officer Carl “Ben” Nett.

Mr. Nett was involved in the hiring of both Kwasi Fraser and Anthony Sabio, both of whom he had political or personal connections to. Based on the evidence presented, we challenge our audience to consider whether the hiring of either of these individuals was in part due to a belief that doing so would provide a personally benefit to Mr. Nett.

Unfortunately, due to the sheer number of events related to Mr. Nett and his various personal and official actions, lawsuits, pending legal status, and formal recall, this timeline is quite extensive. Because we want to ensure that all of our timelines include supporting documents and links to relative supporting information, the creation of these timelines can take dozens or even hundreds of hours of research and analysis. Thank you for your patience as our volunteers continue to work through the documents and information!
